The goal of Kiwanis is to “Serve The Children of Our Community.” In real terms that means we nurture the young leaders of our community and help them reach their potential. Wednesday night at Germantown High School was one of those times when Kiwanians get a chance to see the fullfillment of their hard work. Germantown Kiwanis President Bill Steitz was on hand at the Scholarship Awards Night to present the Jim Lynch/Mike Micka Memorial Scholarship to Germantown senior Madelyn Wolfe.
Ms. Wolfe was awarded the $1,500 scholarship for her excellence in academics as well as her performance in leadership roles during her high school career.
“What a privilege each year to participate in this special event,” Steitz commented on the Kiwanis Facebook page. “Our club spends many hours raising funds so we can make this possible for these special people like Madelyn.”
