U.S. Bank’s Taste of Germantown
Even high winds and a thunderstorm couldn’t dampen the enthusiasm here in Firemen’s Park on Thursday, July 21, 2016, during the annual Kiwanis community party. The U.S. Bank sponsored Taste of Germantown was a summer’s evening filled with fun, fine cuisine, enthusiastic music and good spirits. It was enjoyed by Germantown residents of all ages, as children’s workshops and a Pokémon Go party held the attention of the younger picknickers while the adults were entertained by a softball tournament, four local music groups and the Germantown Poms.
Vendors at the event included: BuBs Irish Pub, Aldo’s Pizza & Pub, Nardo’s Passport Inn, Robert’s Frozen Custard, Grinderville, La Cabana Mexican Grill, Buddha’s BBQ and Wisconsin Fried Cheese Curds.
The Germantown Kiwanis started this event two years ago to promote their project to construct the Gehl Foods Performing Arts Pavillion in Firemen’s Park. All proceeds from Taste of Germantown will go toward the building of the Pavillion. Germantown supporters are invited to review the information on the Pavillion and see the rendering of what it will look like. Information about donating to this worthwhile project is available.
